On Monday, May 8th  in Nathan Phillips Square outside Toronto City Hall we commemorated the anniversary V-E Day and Victory Day. V-E Day, May 8. 1945 (Victory Day in Europe) mark the Allies formal acceptance of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces. Victory Day, May 9, 1945  is a holiday that commemorates the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.
