Celebrate International Women’s Day March 8! It was both a fun holiday with songs and dances and a theme evening. The famous singer from Montreal, Antonina Levin, brought to Toronto a wonderful program dedicated to the work of the great Soviet woman and singer – Claudia Shulzhenko. V-E Day, May 8. 1945 (Victory Day in Europe) mark the Allies formal acceptance of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces.
